Lost boy of Sudan.
[Risk No. 167] It was hard to miss David. His dark skin shined bright and he stood nearly 7 feet tall. He was checking people out of Costco. "Where are you from?," I asked. Sudan. I've now met several "lost boys from Sudan." Always a joy to see that our country would help aid those who have sadly lost families, friends and even homes. I asked him how I could pray for him. "Oh, I'm OK" in a polite, yet thick, African accent. I reached out my hand and he took it. "Jesus, thank you for David. Thank you for his life and all the plans you have for him. Work wonders and draw him deeper into You." He smiled and thanked me. I thanked him for smiling. Lord, please continue restoring and reconciling relationships for those displaced by war and hate.
